Microwave Ocean Remote Sensing Training School
The first Microwave Ocean Remote Sensing Training School organized by the SMOS-MODE EU COST Action will take place in Autumn 2013 at the SMOS Barcelona Expert Centre.

Se busca programador en C++ y Python sobre QGIS y SEXTANTE. Esto es parte de un proyecto europeo llamado Thermolidar (www.thermolidar.com <http://www.thermolidar.com/> ). Tenemos que crear unas cuantas herramientas operativas para procesar datos LiDAR y Térmico aerotransportado. Algunas librerías existen en C++, otras se pueden incorporar de SEXTANTE, Fusion, etc…Todas tienen que estar unidas en una aplicación para QGIS. Interesante también un buen conocimiento de formatos LAS, Geotiff y Shapefile.
Plaza de técnico/a superior de apoyo a la investigación (UV, Paterna)
Ha salido publicada hoy, 05.06.2013, en el Diario Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana la oferta de una plaza de técnico/a superior de apoyo a la investigación con contrato laboral temporal (20 h de dedicación semanal ) en el marco del proyecto RNOT (Red Nacional de Observación de la Tierra) para trabajar en el parque científico de la Universitat de València en Paterna.

Position Description:
A 3-year funded Ph.D. position is available at the University of Waterloo, Canada to conduct research into novel statistical and computational methods for geospatial pattern and trend detection in the context of interdisciplinary research on landscape and climate change. This research is motivated by the need to account for the multiplicity of tests in the application of large numbers of spatially replicated hypothesis tests to detect significant patterns and trends in multitemporal remote sensing data or climate model outputs.
