Through a combination of theoretical lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions the school will cover all key aspects of large-scale ocean monitoring, with a particular focus on SMOS data processing and applications.

The target audience includes Masters/PhD students, early career researchers, and professionals in ocean sciences and remote sensing. The number of participants is limited to 25 and therefore applicants will be selected on a competitive basis. Grants to cover part of the costs for travelling and accommodation will also be made available. Applications, including a brief statement of interest and a CV, must be completed using the online registration form by June 28, 2013. If financial support is required, an estimate of travel costs must also be included in the application. Applicants will be notified about acceptance by July 31, 2013.
