International Student Conference and Competition called Green Challenge

First of all we want to transmit you that we hope you had a happy start ofthe year, and secondly we wanted to tell you that DTU would like to invite students from their partner universities to participate in the annual International Student Conference and Competition called Green Challenge (in Danish = Grøn Dyst), which focuses on the topics of sustainability, the environment, and climate technology.

Why Green Challenge?

DTU believes that engineers play a pivotal role in the sustainable development of our society. It is important to give engineering students skills to contribute to the development of technological solutions that respond to the global challenges. Green Challenge is an opportunity for students to showcase the green and sustainable projects they have been working as part of their education.

“COMPETENCES IN THE AGE OF A SMART WORLD”

Dear All,

Our colleagues from Poznan have the pleasure of inviting us to participate in the 1st International Science Conference “COMPETENCES IN THE AGE OF A SMART WORLD” dedicated to broadly defined competences for the future. The conference, organized by the Chair of Marketing and Economic Engineering of PUT Faculty of Engineering Management, will be held on 13 March 2018 in Poznan. The aim of the conference is to integrate the academic community which deals with learning organizations as well as to present and discuss issues related to shaping competences for the future in these organizations. Plenary session speakers will include scholars from countries such as the USA, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, to name but a few, who will share their research results and conclusions. The conference will be attended by representatives of academic centres from Poland and abroad as well as business practitioners.

Due to the specific character of the subject matter, the conference will be part of a larger event called International Days of Competences for the Future, which will feature among others:

– a special guest lecture by Prof. G. Scott Erickson – Professor of Marketing, Ithaca College, School of Business, Ithaca, New York, USA;

– academic sessions devoted to the subjects of knowledge management, competence management in learning organizations, intelligent organizations, a smart factory, quality in the context of competence and knowledge management, methods for accelerating the acquisition of selected transversal competences, leadership, process automation in public institutions, private institutions and enterprises, including Industry 4.0.

More information on International Days of Competences for the Future can be found on www.idcf.put.poznan.pl

Take into account this amazing oportunity.

Scholarships in the Swiss-European Mobility Programme

The ETH Zürich University wishes all students a merry Christmas and as a gift informs us that the Swiss national agency Movetia has just announced that the scholarships in the Swiss-European Mobility Programme will be slightly increased as of the academic year 2018/19, by CHF 20/month, i.e. CHF 100/semester.

Also, the country categories have been adjusted, mirroring the changes made in the Erasmus programme, so for students from some of our partners the scholarship will also be changed (in most cases increased) due to this.

You can find the overview in English version published on the website. Scholarships will continue to be calculated with 5 monthly rates per semester, independent of the exact duration of stay.

Don’t forget to check out ETH Zurich’s new promotional video linked on (make sure the sound is turned on high 😉
